Although we live in an age where postage stamps aren’t so necessary, there’s a chance for your business to use them in a digital sense, whilst at the same time finding moral peace of mind.
M&C Saatchi Abel in South Africa, in collaboration with email signature company RocketSeend, has created 10 virtual illustrated stamps linked to ten different South African charities. The stamp can be embedded in every email you send – “a little rectangle with a big purpose” – as the ad agency explains.

WWF is one of the largest independent conservation organisations. Covering a global network of more than 100 countries, WWF focuses on the Earth’s degradation and a sustainable future.
The stamps were designed in-house by M&C Saatchi Abel's own art directors, illustrators and copywriters: Ntobeko Ximba, Carla Bekker, Tennessee Barber, Jessica De Kroon, Kirsten Bennett, Deanne Hofhuis, Carla Kuhn and Isharaah Arnold.
The initiative, dubbed Stamps for Good, supports charities such as WWF, Habitat for Humanity, The Haven Night Shelter and Project Literacy.
As executive creative director at M&C Saatchi Abel Gordon Ray says, people are looking for simple ways to show they care about issues, and this is one that shows a company's support and desire to make a meaningful difference.
Currently Stamps for Good are available to companies only, however future plans look to extend this to individuals.

Habitat for Humanity supports communities to create a more sustainable future for themselves and breaking the cycle of poverty, whilst also having advocates in housing and community development policy.
To be able to use a stamp in your emails, subscribe to the Stamps for Good website, pick a charity, and when you purchase the stamp all proceeds go straight to your chosen charity. The subscription lasts for a year.

Reach For A Dream Foundations gives children with life-shortening illnesses a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Everyone who receives your email will see the charity you support. They will also be able to click on the stamp and sign up their company.

Cotlands has been around since 1936, originally for abandoned babies but now focuses on early childhood development, such as playgroups and libraries for vulnerable children aged 0 to six years old.
The website states 100 billion emails are sent every day globally – that’s 193 per second.

Animal Anti-Cruelty League has cared and protected animals in South Africa since 1956.
The charity provides veterinary care for those who can’t afford fees, a shelter and adoption programme, a mobile clinic and primary school education programme on pet care.

The Sunflower Fund was founded in 1999 by a group of parents whose children have leukaemia. They educate and register stem cell donors on the South African Bone Marrow Registry.
The Sunflower Fund fundraises to cover the recruitment cost to grow an ethnically diverse registry of committed donors.
