Lightricks, developer of Facetune, has launched photo editing application Enlight.
Enlight is built on Lightricks’ proprietary technologies such as LTEngine advanced visual processing engine, and offers professional image editing tools, tone/colour adjustments, artistic effects and filters.
Tools like Mixer (pictured) seamlessly combine two or more photos with a variety of blending modes, while Clarity allows you to instantly repair dark photos and brings out details.
Enlight is available exclusively through the App Store in the Photo & Video category for £2.99 ($3.99)
“Nothing like Enlight exists on the market,” said Zeev Farbman, CEO and Co-Founder of Lightricks. “In addition to upgraded versions of existing tools, Enlight offers new features that, until now, were only seen on desktop editing software, if at all."
"In some ways, we started Lightricks to bring Enlight to the world, because we saw such a huge gap between academic research and the technology being offered to consumers for mobile photo editing worldwide. Smartphones are bringing the highest quality cameras to our daily lives. It’s time the highest quality software in the field came to mobile, too.”
The app offers seamless album integration from the iPhone camera roll, and auto-save on a user’s entire editing history
According to Lightricks, the integrated and intuitive workflow of Enlight was developed to ensure that users of all types can focus on perfecting and creatively enhancing their pictures.
A series of professional grade tools allow for adjustments to tone, colour, details and other core features of the picture.
Easy to use presets are available for novice users, with the detailed capabilities required by professionals are also included.
Preset filters include Artistic Painting, which transforms a photo into oil or water paint rendering, with dozens of style options to choose from.
Like every Enlight filter, intensity of the effect is easily adjusted with a swipe of the finger
Enlight offers a universal masking available through the entire app.
Mask allows for applying or removing effects within a region of interest, allowing for precise control in changes to specific areas of the canvas.
There are a variety of brush tip styles, colours, and widths for painting on images.
Also included are original effects such as birds and stars, which can be applied by swiping across the image exactly like paint brushing.
The app also features a huge variety of text overlay options, including multiple fonts, colours and shadowing/spacing options, in addition to preset mini-graphics which can be similarly customised. A meme feature allows users to instantly turn pictures into humorous or poignant statements meant for social sharing.
