Where did you train?

I went to the University of Glamorgan and studied graphic design.

What kinds of tools, materials and tech do you work with and why?

Most of my work is digital, I use a combination of illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, After effects and Cinema 4D. I do create the occasional painting and ink drawing.

What techniques and approaches do you use most?

At the moment most of my work is 3D rendered. The tools are just getting better and better all the time, but it is getting harder to get the best hardware to match.

Which clients have you worked for?

Past clients include MTV, Sony, BBC, Doritos, National Library of Wales,| Microsoft, Nickelodeon, Mattel, Channel 4, Argos, Fight my monster. There are also some some I can’t name due to strict NDAs.

Where have you exhibited your work?

I’ve had works exhibited in a few places around the world, Mexico city, Paris, London as part of group shows. I’ve got my first solo show coming up on the 13th June in the The SHO Gallery in Cardiff. www.thesho.co.uk

What are your biggest influences?

1980’s graffiti and Japanese video games, fine art and geometric patterns: they all find a way into my mind.

What has inspired you most recently?

A few recent trips to various galleries have greatly impressed me. The scale and detail of some old masters, such a Rubens and Rembrandt are mind blowing.

What's your advice for creatives aspiring to work in the design industry?

It really needs to be your passion. If you don’t wake up in the middle of the night with fresh ideas, or just can’t wait to create your next image, then maybe it’s not for you.

What are you working on now?

I’m creating a short animation, set in space.

What's your dream commission?

I think it would be to art direct a movie - that would be great!

POW! At the moment this is my favourite piece. I like the colour palette I managed to achieve.
